Terms of service

Last updated: April 20, 2026

The basics

By using Docedio, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service. We'll keep this as readable as we can — no walls of legalese.

Your account

You need an account to create guides. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. If you sign up with Google, your account is tied to that Google identity. One person, one account — don't share credentials or create multiple accounts.

Your content

Everything you create in Docedio — guides, steps, captions, screenshots — belongs to you. We don't claim ownership of your content.

By publishing a guide, you're choosing to make it publicly accessible. You can unpublish at any time to remove public access. We need a license to host, display, and deliver your content as part of running the service — that's it. We won't use your content for anything else without your permission.

Acceptable use

Use Docedio for legitimate documentation purposes. Don't use it to:

Upload illegal, harmful, or abusive content

Infringe on others' intellectual property

Distribute malware or phishing content

Attempt to access other users' accounts or data

Abuse the service in ways that degrade it for others

Scrape or bulk-download content from the platform

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these guidelines.

Plans and limits

Docedio offers free and paid plans. Free accounts have limits on the number of guides and total storage. These limits are described on our pricing page and may change over time. We'll give you notice before reducing limits on an active plan.

Payments

Paid plans (when available) are billed through our payment processor. You can cancel at any time. Refund policies will be detailed on the pricing page when paid plans launch.

Service availability

We aim to keep Docedio running and reliable, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. We may need to perform maintenance, and things occasionally break. We'll do our best to communicate about planned downtime.

Closing your account

You can request account deletion through our contact page. When your account is deleted, all your guides, steps, and uploaded screenshots are permanently removed. This action cannot be undone.

Limitation of liability

Docedio is provided “as is.” We do our best to keep your data safe and the service running, but we're not liable for data loss, service interruptions, or damages arising from using the platform. Please keep backups of important content.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top and may notify you by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
