What Docedio is

Docedio is a documentation platform that helps teams build step-by-step guides with expandable visual walkthroughs. It's built and operated by Docedio (“we,” “us,” “our”).

What we collect

We collect only what's needed to run the product:

Account information — your email address, display name, and password (hashed, never stored in plain text). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google — we never see your Google password.
Content you create — guide titles, descriptions, step text, captions, and screenshots you upload. This is your data.
Usage data — basic analytics (page views, feature usage) through Vercel Analytics. No personal information is tracked.
Contact messages — if you use our contact form, we receive your email and message.

How we use it

Your account information lets you log in and own your guides. Your content is stored so you can create, edit, and publish guides. Usage data helps us understand which features matter and fix bugs. We do not sell your data to anyone. We do not show you ads. We do not use your content to train AI models.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored in Supabase (database and file storage), hosted on infrastructure managed by Supabase and their cloud providers. Your uploaded screenshots are stored in a Supabase Storage bucket. Emails are sent through Resend. The application is hosted on Vercel.

Published guides

When you publish a guide, its title, description, steps, and screenshots become publicly accessible to anyone with the link. Unpublishing a guide removes public access. Your email and account details are never shown on published guides.

Cookies

We use cookies only for authentication — keeping you logged in across page loads. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

Third-party services

We use a small number of services to run Docedio: Supabase (database, auth, storage), Vercel (hosting, analytics), Resend (email delivery), and Google (if you choose to sign in with Google). Each has its own privacy policy. We do not share your data with anyone else.

Deleting your data

You can delete individual guides from your dashboard at any time — this removes the guide, all its steps, and all uploaded screenshots permanently. To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact us through our contact page and we'll handle it.

Children

Docedio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also notify you by email.

Questions

If you have questions about this policy or how we handle your data, reach out through our contact page or email us at hello@docedio.com.
